Routine Podiatry Care

At Catherington Podiatry, we offer routine Podiatry care which will include taking a neuro-vascular assessment of your feet to establish your foot health status. Our experienced podiatrist will carefully trim your nails, helping to prevent ingrown nails and reduce the risk of nail-related complications. We also address issues like thickened, fungal, or ingrowing nails, and provide expert advice on proper nail care techniques to promote overall foot health. 

*Please note, we do not currently do Nail Surgery.*

Corns & Callus

Say goodbye to painful corns and calluses with treatment at Catherington Podiatry. Our podiatrist will gently remove these bothersome areas of hardened skin, providing relief and preventing further discomfort. We identify the underlying causes of corns and calluses to address the root of the problem, ensuring long-lasting results and restoring the comfort of your feet. Advise is also given on ways to help manage the build up of corns and calluses and slow their return.

Fungal skin infection (Tinea Pedis)

A lot of individuals suffer with Tinea Pedis (Fungal skin infection) and/or Onychomycosis (fungal nail infection) on our feet. Our Podiatrists can diagnose and discuss ways to treat and prevent re-infection to help keep your feet healthy and maintained.

Diabetic Foot Assessments

For individuals with diabetes, proper foot care is essential to avoid potential complications. Our diabetic foot assessments at Catherington Podiatry focus on early detection of any issues, such as nerve damage or poor circulation, that may arise due to diabetes. Regular assessments help us provide proactive care, reducing the risk of diabetic foot ulcers and promoting overall foot health. If you have Diabetes it is important that your feet are well looked after, which can be done at Catherington Podiatry.

Verrucae

Verrucae can be troublesome and very stubborn to get rid of. Catherington Podiatry can help improve the discomfort they cause by removing the overlying hard skin and offer further treatments (if appropriate) and advise to help shift them.

At Cathrington Podiatry we use Verrutop as one of our treatment options. Verrutop is a new type of wart treatment. Unlike Cryotherapy or other chemical treatments, Verrutop does not act by freezing or burning the tissue. Instead it denatures the viral protein and desiccates the wart tissue, which then falls off the skin, leaving intact skin underneath. Treatment is normally quick and painless.​ 

Fungal Nail Infection (Onychomycosis)

A fungal nail infection usually starts at the edge of the nail and infections develop slowly and can spread to multiple nails. A fungal nail infection can cause the nail to become white and yellow. It may also crumble or break easily.

At Catherington Podiatry we treat all stages of fungal nail infection. We use a rapid test to effectively detect a fungal infection, this enables us to diagnose and form a personal treatment plan all within your initial consultation.

At Catherington Podiatry we use Clearanail as one of our treatment options. This effective treament helps us to manage and control fungal infections.
